The topic in focus of DIY Forum 2020 is the growth of online sales in the field of construction and finishing materials, and household goods.
The concept of the topic-specific “blocks” will be preserved: the experts will discuss the current situation at the DIY market in the Analytics+Trends block, and will share tips on growing your business in the era of rapid growth of digital channels in the Marketing+Digital block.
Nowadays the biggest DIY retailers eagerly implement various strategies of online sales: some have already launched their online stores, others are actively working with specialised web aggregators and marketplaces, and the rest are just testing their options and analysing the market. The retailers, which have relied on the development of omnichannel strategy at the right time, keep on growing and evolving, and many of them performed double-digit growth in 2019 at the time of decrease of overall consumption.
According to INFOLine, the online sales of construction (Hard DIY) and finishing (Soft DIY) materials, household goods (Household), garden goods (Garden) and furniture have increased by 32% in 2018, bringing in 185 bln rubles, and the share of online sales on the market has gone 2 points up, reaching 9%. In 2019 the online sales of construction and finishing materials and household goods keep on growing by 30-40%.
The top managers and key specialists of Leroy Merlin, Petrovitch, Maxidom, and other chains, as well as global experts of DIY market will speak at the Forum.
