ECOPROJECT BY DARIA VASILKOVA AND ESPOCADA AT MOSBUILD DECORIUM
From waste we art — this is the key message of the project
Daria Vasilkova, the founder of the Art Group design studio, is the author of the Textile Trend Zone at MosBuild Decorium. In collaboration with Espocada, the General Partner of the Curtains, Fabrics, Blinds, and Curtain Holders section, the designer is implementing an eco-friendly project at MosBuild 2022 the concept of which is to create unique interior features from fabric, tile and cardboard.
"When buying materials for renovation and design projects, we always take extra. What we don't need is just thrown in the trash. We love to consume new things, we've been brought up with it. We want to show something different - How to turn leftovers, and sometimes literally trash into an interesting design solution.”

Daria Vasilkova and Espocada are designing several eco-friendly home accessories exclusively for the Decorium special project at MosBuild, including:
- Modular sofa with removable covers of jeans and Espocada interior fabric remnants;
- Dressers exhibited in 2020 at the Rossana Orlandi Gallery (Italy) and decorated with tile remnants;
- Mirrors and armchairs made of recycled cardboard and decorated with tile remnants, created in collaboration with the designer Ulyana Khokhlova, winner of the "Invented and Made in Russia" award;
- Concrete furniture with tile shards.
The project by Daria Vasilkova and Espocada meets the ESG principles which the MosBuild International Building and Finishing Materials Exhibition adheres to. We will continue to keep you informed about the environmental and social initiatives of the MosBuild team and exhibitors.
